Barbara Tisserat In this hushed visual meditation, a fading landscape is evoked by drips and scrawls; a moment of pause is activated by the prospect of choice. My captures: curiosities of resemblance, memories of place, remnants of process---an oscillation of the known, the unanticipated, the readily deciphered and the stubbornly puzzling. Lithography provides me with a flexible arena of
operation---from measured pace to sly surprises, affording a
splendid repertoire of means, seismographically sensitive, and
sympathetic to piecing layered fragments into apparent wholes.
