Lisa Bulawsky The Queen of the Bucket is from Shiftland, a series of monotypes and drawings about a fictional land in transition (transitioning toward utopia). In general, Shiftland is an overarching conceptual structure that enables me to examine and critique our contemporary global situation through the lens of an imaginary civilization. The prints in this series are typical of my working method, involving a variety of techniques and mediums in the creation of one-of-a-kind images. |
