I majored in printmaking because of the freedom that I am allowed to express myself. I have been exposed to so many amazing people and offered many ways to create work. Everyone that I have met has had a very intimate experience with the process and has walked away from their education with a very unique way of working. Some have been very experimental while others have carried on the torch of tradition. The experience of meeting these people and discussing their way of thinking and working has been informative to my education in the field. Printmaking is a community and a home for me that I cherish. I see myself as part of a history of people that have pushed the medium of printmaking and I am proud to play a part.
