The Art of Contemporary University Printmaking

The University of Alabama is the place I found my artistic voice. My experience there was challenging and engaging both professionally and personally.  The University of Alabama’s art department has a small community of graduate students who challenged my ideas and my execution of those ideas. This community fostered an intellectual engagement with the larger art world through visiting artist, visits to New York and print conferences. A large part of my experience was analyzing other mediums besides printmaking. Therefore, my experience was interdisciplinary which strengthened my artwork and concept. I am grateful for my experience at the University of Alabama and honored to be exhibiting with Sarah Marshall.
