Ideas APart An Array of Artwork by Jefferson County High School's First AP Art Class |
|||||||||
Ashley Davis Being in AP art has really helped me to define myself as an artist and has helped me to look at art in a new perspective. My inspiration for the work featured here is of a little girl I found in a magazine. I was flipping through and spotted the girl in a group of people and she stood out to me. Everyone had smiles except for her. She had a blank stare on her face. I chose to use pencil so that I could do more detail and shading with her. The reason I used watercolor blue for the background is to bring brightness to the picture. This way it makes the picture a little happier. Most of my art this school year is made with
paint, pastels, and pencil. My drawings are random things that
would pop into my head and I would convert them onto paper. I
enjoy using bright colors to help express happiness. |
