Gallery Mission
The Fire House Gallery strives to exhibit exciting and challenging contemporary American art for the benefit of the citizens of Louisville, Georgia, Jefferson County, and the Central Savannah River Area. The Gallery offers monthly exhibitions and a calendar of entertaining and educational events, including opening receptions and artist talks. As the flagship program of Friends of Historic Downtown Louisville, the Gallery is dedicated to important community outreach projects designed to make the Gallery a solid cornerstone for enhancement of Louisville's remarkable historic Downtown. The Gallery also offers active support for other like-minded organizations and groups, including the Arts Guild of Jefferson County and the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce. Gallery Management
The Gallery's day-to-day operations are managed by the Gallery's Curatorial Fellow with support from the Fire Team Productions Video Fellow. Executive Gallery management is provided by Helen Aikman and Kathleen Galvin. Decisions concerning exhibitions are made by the Gallery's curatorial committee. |

Tax Exempt Status
The Fire House Gallery is a program of Friends of Historic Downtown Louisville, a Georgia nonprofit corporation exempt from Federal income tax under IRC section 501(c)(3). Contributions to the Gallery are deductible under IRC section 170. The Gallery is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under IRC sections 2055, 2106, or 2422. You may inspect the Friends IRS Form 990 for 2011 during regular business hours (Wednesday–Friday noon–6 pm; Saturday 9 am–4 pm) in The Fire House Gallery at 605 Mulberry Street, Louisville, GA 30434. |

Directions
From Augusta Take US 1/GA 4 South for approximately 42 miles. Go onto US 221/GA 4/US 1 (Business) South and stay on it for 1.2 miles until you reach a 4-way stop. Turn left onto West Broad Street (US 1 Business) and proceed two blocks to the intersection of Broad Street and Mulberry Street. (Note – you must circle the Broad Street Parkway in order to turn onto Mulberry Street.) From Savannah Take I-16/GA 404 West for approximately 75 miles. Take exit 90 onto US 1/GA 4 North toward Swainsboro. Stay on US 1/GA 4 North for 42.7 miles. Make a slight left onto US 1 (Business)/Broad Street north and follow for 1.4 miles to the intersection of Broad Street and Mulberry Street. From Atlanta Take I-20 East from Atlanta for approximately 110 miles. Take exit 172 onto GA 17 South. Follow GA 17 South for 36.1 miles. Go onto US 221/GA 4/US 1 (Business) South and stay on it for 1.2 miles until you reach a 4-way stop. Turn left onto West Broad Street (US 1 Business) and proceed two blocks to the intersection of Broad Street and Mulberry Street.
